SmartSafe ST08

An innovative SmartSafe design, with 26 maintenance functions, that can perform vehicle diagnosis as well as being tailored for optional ADAS calibration.

The ST08, developed by SmartSafe, offers a more comprehensive solution. It can be combined with ADAS calibration equipment and anti-theft programmer equipment to realise intelligent detection of vehicles. It can also be matched with traditional products such as cleaning and maintenance equipment to discern equipment interconnection and terminal control. The device can perform fault diagnosis of the entire product model and system (including reading/clearing fault codes and reading data streams, etc.) with 26 special functions and abilities.

Vehicle Coverage

The ST08 covers over 100 US, Asian, and European brands of vehicle, having various diagnostic functions for all; including special functions such as adaptions resets and relearning tools. Software modifications can be made to customise the systems of some models of BMW E and F series, VAG group, Toyota, and Porsche. Online-based coding is available for BENZ, BMW, PORSCHE, VW, AUDI, SEAT for some systems and models. This helps to match and code new ECUs after a replacement, or to unlock the hidden functions (also known as Retrofits and Conversions) bringing more possibilities to your car - the ST08 will cover most vehicles in these brands, but not all. The ST08 is compatible with optional Security Gate Way licences (SGW) to unlock certain brands of vehicles. FCA SGW yearly subscription provides the unlock for FCA vehicles (Abarth, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Ram trucks, Lancia and Fiat). The Renault SGW token activations provide the unlock for Renault and Dacia.

Using The Device

The ST08 provides simple guided step-by-step procedures for accurate diagnostics. Allowing you to directly control car functions from the tablet to activate or test components on demand – without needing to use the vehicle’s own controls. Live numerical and graphic data can be produced. Useful alongside the 26 maintenance functions the ST08 is capable of. Smart AutoVIN in many cases will automatically identify the car make / model / year, in the cases where it does not AutoVIN the vehicles, you can still use the standard manual method of selecting the correct vehicle details. The ST08 comes with multilingual menu support, including: English, Japanese, Korea, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Deutsch, Polish, Romanian, Dutch, Arabic, Czech, Danish, Greek, Farsi, Finnish, Hungarian, Swedish, Turkish, Serbian, Chinese Simplified, and Chinese Traditional. Print or share diagnostical reports via WIFI to a WIFI printer or share a report by email.

Software Updates

The ST08 comes with two years software, activated from date of purchase. Once your software licence comes to an end, your device will require a software update in order for you to keep using the functions of your ST08. Without an update, your device will still work as a basic code reader and diagnostics machine.
