Massa Inconsistency Cost Him Ferrari Place
Ferrari president Luca Di Montezemolo has confirmed that a lack of consistency was the reason Felipe Massa didn’t have his contract renewed. While Massa’s early career with Ferrari was impressive, his lack of points in the 2012 constructors’ championship was said to be a big blow.
Ferrari Sign Dirk De Beer From Lotus
More Ferrari news, with the announcement that the team have signed Lotus’ head of aerodynamics. The arrival of Dirk De Beer has not been formally announced by Ferrari but he is expected to start work within the next few weeks.
Webber Says Motivation Has Been Lacking
Perhaps because of his forthcoming departure from Formula 1, Mark Webber has been candid about his thoughts recently. He’s admitted that he struggled for motivation in the last couple of years and that he’s looking forward to his new challenge with Porsche.
Where Next For Massa?
With no ride yet confirmed for the 2014 season, Felipe Massa has announced that he is in talks with Lotus. Sources within Formula 1 have also suggested that Sauber could be a possible destination for the Brazilian.
