Launch has announced that Brooks Motors owner, Adrian Brooks, based in Hempstead, Essex, is the lucky winner of a CRP129 CReader Professional, a handheld diagnostic tool from Launch’s product line, used to detect and report the cause of vehicle faults.

The competition was carried out at Mechanex, Sandown, back in November, encouraging all visitors on the Launch stand to put their business cards into a bowl, with the winner being chosen at random.

Launch UK set the stakes high, giving away a CRP129 CReader professional as the prize, which is especially beneficial to garages, such as Brooks Motors.

The product is one of the most accurate diagnostic tools in the current market. Along with its compact design and full colour screen, the CRP129 is also easy to use, understand and navigate, working with all vehicles compliant with EOBD/OBDII (petrol vehicles from 2001 and diesels from 2004).

Winner, Adrian Brooks of Brooks Motors, said: “It was definitely a nice surprise when Sunny from Launch got in touch to present me with the prize. I was already aware of Launch’s renowned expertise within the aftermarket as we currently use Launch for our diagnostics, using the popular X431 in the garage which is greatly beneficial to our work.

“I attend Mechanex every year to keep up to date with the latest products and information from within the independent aftermarket and so it was a big bonus to win such a fantastic prize. I’ve already used it a couple of times and I’m confident it will prove a handy piece of equipment in the garage as it is so easy to use.

“With vehicles becoming more complex, diagnostics are becoming increasingly more important for garage technicians. I’d even go as far to say that they are now one of the most important tools a garage can have and would recommend all garage owners to invest in diagnostic products to make repairing vehicles a more efficient process.”

Dave Richards, Launch UK managing director, said: “We are always looking to reward our customer base and it is part of our strategy to encourage visitors to attend our stand and allow our personnel to share their expertise with customers.”

Launch will present its full range of automotive diagnostic tools, air conditioning servicing equipment and aftermarket garage equipment, including the acclaimed x431 range of OE level diagnostic equipment and the CRP range, to the UK market at all Mechanex events throughout the year and Automechanika Birmingham, from 7 – 9 June, 2016.
